Canada’s known for scoring in the rink, but not in the bedroom.
Canadians fall behind the worldwide sexy time average, doing the horizontal mambo only about 1.35 times a week, compared to the global average of 1.41, says a new international survey.
Compare that to Portugal (maybe it’s the vino), where they have sex 1.96 times a week, according to the study by Eli Lilly Canada, an erectile dysfunction manufacturer.
The study surveyed more than 1,000 Canadians between the ages of 46 and 60, and more than 13,000 people over 34 in more than a dozen countries.
Excuses for not getting busy included being tired, 71%, muscle pain, 29%, and headache and joint pain, 24%.
The study also says Canucks aren’t as spontaneous as lovers in other countries and tend to plan sex with their partner. Only 79% of Canadians think of sex as a spontaneous activity, versus 86% in other countries.
“When you compare our results to other nations, it’s clear that Canadians aren’t necessarily experiencing the most active or vibrant sex lives,” said Dr. Gerald Brock from the University of Western Ontario in a release.
Maybe the stat’ll go up now that the chilly weather is upon us. Gotta stay warm some how.
