Jack Reacher

- June 18th, 2012

I was looking for something to read last week. I have a Jeffrey Archer but I wasn’t ready for it.

So I went for an oldie but goodie. Lee Child’s One Shot, one of many Jack Reacher mysteries that I own on my Kindle.

A guy goes into a parking garage with a sniper rifle. He fires six shots, kills five people, all in less than 10 seconds. He leaves enough clues around to make it easy for cops. In six hours, they’re busting down his door.

The guy, former military, says nothing to the lawyer his sister arranged for him. The only thing he says is Jack Reacher’s name. But Reacher is no friend. Reacher once warned him that if he ever found out that the guy committed another crime, Reacher would find him and bury him. So why, with all the evidence pointing to his guilt, does he ask for Reacher?

Well, you’ll have to read the book to find out why.
