Lee Child has a new Jack Reacher short story called Deep Down. It’s a flashback to his days as a military cop. Interestingly enough, it’s on the NYT bestseller’s list for fiction.
Here’s what you need to know. Reacher is flown to Washington. They want him to sit in a committee meeting that is looking at purchasing a new sniper army for the military. One of the four army representatives is leaking information. Reacher’s job is to find out who.
That’s it, folks. It’s called a short story for a reason.
Meanwhile, Reacher fans (including me) are counting down to Child’s new novel — A Wanted Man. It comes out on Sept. 11. It’s one of the few times I’m willing to pay $17.48 for an e-book.
