Olen Steinhauer

- April 10th, 2012

A couple of years ago I got a copy of The Tourist, a spy novel that was fresh and strong on character development. I thought, who is this Olen Steinhauer? What a great writer. A few months later, there was a sequel to the novel called The Nearest Exit. Since then, I’ve been waiting to see if Steinhauer would write another novel featuring CIA hitman Milo Weaver. Well, after a long wait, Steinhauer delivered. I was browsing through Amazon the other day and came across The American Spy. The novel was just released in March, which means it’s not cheap. It usually takes a few months or more for the e-edition prices to come down. Compared to the hardcover price, the Kindle price was a bargain at $16. But it’s still more than what I usually pay. But I couldn’t wait. And once I get through Henry James’ The Portrait of a Lady, I’m going to tackle Steinhauer next.
