With the in-laws visiting last week, I didn’t do as much reading as usual.
I did finish the Len Deighton series. Nine novels broken into three trilogies. I had blogged that I thought the last trilogy was losing steam, but when I finished the last book, I was sad. Here are the titles in order.
Berlin Game
Mexico Set
London Match
Spy Line
Spy Hook
Spy Sinker
Faith
Hope
Charity
I also read the new biography about Bruce Springsteen, called Bruce. And I tackled a cheap novel called The Marriage Bargain. I think it’s erotic fiction. I call it just okay. Then I re-read Casino Royale for probably the fifth time. Now I’m on Richard Ford’s Independence Day.
Looking back on the week, it was quite the interesting mix of novels.
