Museum London is paying tribute to the Embassy Cultural House which flourished at 732 Dundas St. The years 1983-1990 are the focus of the exhibition curated by Robert “Bob” McKaskell, Windsor’s gift to London artscene explorations.
Bob guides a tour of the exhibition on Sunday (July 29) at 1 p.m. There is also a Ron Benner-chefed corn roast (tremendous taste) & London music ace Frank Ridsdale (tremendous, too) on hand.
JBNBlog is looking for memories of the Embassy Cultural House and of a much earlier incarnation as the Sunnyside Hotel. Ace historian Mike Baker says the Sunnyside was the name from 1936 to c. 1963. Sunnyside memories & other anecdotes gratefully received.
Semper Sunnyside, semper Embassy.
