JBNBlog is not sure which of these likely lads is John and which is Diego . . . but what an image. Toward the end of their father’s The Hart of London, the two are close to various deer in a film thick with images of deer being hunted, slaughtered etc. V. disturbing for all its pastoral qualities. Wow.

In real life, J&D were pretty rugged little guys . . . back in the day c. 1968 they went out with their mom Olga & my mom to visit my grandfather (dad’s dad, James N. Reaney) at Westminster hospital. Some stones or pebbles were tossed. A low-lying window or two might have needed repair after their efforts. Grampa must have been inspired by such life force. I know how much my mom adored them . . . for reasons just now becoming clear to me.

The young boys also appear in some of their father’s most famous paintings. Diego & John, this fellow 1960s kid on the London arts scene salutes you. Brothers, hope all is well.

Jack Chambers married Olga Sanchez Bustos in 1963. Both were great Londoners & have trees planted in their memory in Gibbons Park if memory serves. I should pay homage this fall.
