Good friend to JBNBlog & London music in general, A Face in the Crowd* was at Thursday’s John Fogerty concert . . . the last time John Fogerty played the downtown London arena, he was rawkin for 26 songs . . . this time as you can see, it was (wow!) 30 . . . Face is puzzled over No. 20. The guess here based on our hero singing about rodeo which could be radio is Rock and Roll Girls.
Anybody able to help . . . meanwhile, JBNBlog thanks Face as always for such contributions. Reaction, as always, is welcomed. On rawk
Over to Face.

#20 = Rock and Roll Girls
Thanks DLM . . . that is two votes for Rock and Roll Girls, then. Odd lyrics, starting off with the life is like a rodeo (whaaa?) observation & then on to further insights.
A good song but not in the same class as September Gurls or Disney Girls (1957) despite its excellent title. On rawk & write any time.
It was Rock and Roll Girls off of Centerfield. Lyrics start out with “Sometimes I think…life is just a rodeo, the trick is to ride and make it to the bell…” It was a great concert. I came up from Windsor for this one. The opening act of Lukas Nelson and the Promise of the Real was pretty cool to see as well. I can’t say I was aware of them but much like seeing Monster Truck open for Deep Purple at the JLC a few months back, I’ve learned of a new band that I thoroughly enjoy. Rock is not dead…that’s a good thing!
So that is three votes for Rock and Roll Girls . . . good point about Monster Truck/Deep Purple (which I missed) and this concert. No, rock is not dead. There are great new bands of all types out there & it’s a treat to discover them in the company of the bands we knew back in the day. On rawk.
