#ldnont history mystery: Beal dudes in Mr. L. Wright’s woodworking class 1950-1959

OK, who are these 1950-1959 dudes. The image is inspired (though JBNBlog doesn’t recall seeing it, my oversight no doubt) in the excellent Museum London exhibition Breaking the Mould which celebrates Beal at 100 .

Anyway, for the usual JBNBlog prizes, who are these class acts? Who was Mr. L. Wright. Your answers could lead to a My London down the road because the celebrity judging panel doesn’t know the answer to any of this quiz. Anybody able to help?

  1. Ken Avery says:

I was in Mr Wright’s woodworking class in ’56-57, as a matter of fact he was our “Home Room” teacher…..I can not help you on the identity of the students in the photo…..He was an “Old School teacher” strict and to the point, however very fair

Thanks, Ken . . . wow, “home room teacher” takes me back, too. Any idea what his first name might have been? I just have the initial L.

  3. Dan Brock says:

His first name was Louis. His wife’s name was Florence. They lived at 479 Tecumseh St.

Thanks, as always, Dan for leading the way . . . the celebrity judges are adding this to your already impressive #ldnont history mystery career total.
Louis Wright. My suggestion would be Louis (“Mr. All”) Wright.
