The Dyadics with Matt Weston, left, and Kevin Kennedy open the 2012 Western Fair’s on-stage music on Friday. Ace photo by Mike Hensen of The London Free Press.
Just had a quick with Andrew Kitt, Western Fair District’s shows & events manager. Andrew has been around London for eight or nine years, on & off, & he picked a lineup of aces here.
The one act not known to JBNBlog is River Junction Band, who apparently used to have a different name? Anyone know about that . . .
Anyway, here are the local stars on the free stage lineup as JBNBlog has it:
Friday, Sept 7 — The Dyadics, 4:45 p.m.; Staylefish, 6 p.m. The Dyadics say 16:00 hrs so let’s go with that for their gig.
Saturday, Sept. 8 — Metro4, 6 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 9 – Shane Cook, 6 p.m
Monday, Sept. 10 — Bill Durst, 6:15 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 11 — Stephanie McIlroy, 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 12 — River Junction Band, 6 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 13 — Two Crown King, 6 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 14 — Radio, 6 p.m.
There are no local heroes on the final weekend of the fair.
*The title sponsor apparently numbers baseball’s Ty Cobb among its early shareholders if that is a clue for you.
