Gaming news company IGN is facing a number of unspecified layoffs, according to an internal memo, Polygon reports.

The memo comes from Vivek Shah, the CEO of Ziff Davis, which acquired IGN Entertainment on Feb. 4. Shah says: “Our goal is to do fewer things and to do them exceptionally well. In that vein, we want to direct all of our energy and work behind our two flagship brands: IGN and AskMen.”

Shah says in the memo the sites for GameSpy.com, 1up.com and UGO.com will be “winding down.”

He adds Ziff Media is also looking for a buyer for IGN Pro League (IPL), the company’s eSports network.

Other changes mentioned in the memo, include “no longer ad repping 3rd party sites such as GameStop.com and FamilyGuy.com” and dividing its ad sales team into two divisions – one for IGN and one for AskMen.
