The always-angry Kratos returns today in God of War: Ascension. Is the game worth your time and your dollars?
He’s cleaved hundreds of creatures in half with his whirling chain-blades, plundered thousands glowing orbs from heavily guarded chests, bedded a dozen perky-breasted nymphs – often more than one at a time – and used his inhuman strength to literally move mountains.
Kratos, the big, bald badass we’ve come to know and love over eight years of God of War games, has every reason to be tired. And in God of War: Ascension, his weariness is finally beginning to show.

Get off your knees and make a movie, Kratos!
You can’t swing an old-school wired joystick without hitting a video game that’s currently being turned into a movie. Assassin’s Creed, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Splinter Cell and World of Warcraft are all headed to the big screen sooner rather than later.
And now Paul Walker (from the Fast & Furious flicks) will be scraping a razor across his noggin for a cinematic reboot of Hitman, this time simply called Agent 47. Which sounds like the worst game-to-movie casting choice since Mark Wahlberg played Max Payne.
But where’s Kratos?
