We’ve waited patiently, albeit with quiet grumbles, as to why Gabon and the Solomon Islands got the electronic reading device first, but Amazon’s Kindle is finally available in Canada!
The news came through this morning that Amazon is shipping the device immediately to Canadians champing at the bit for eBook reader.
Ian Freed, vice president of Kindle had this to say: “We know that Canadians are passionate about books and reading, and we’re excited to make Kindle available to our customers there. Kindle enables customers around the world including Canada to think of a book and start reading it in under 60 seconds.”
As a potential Kindle customer, all I can say is yes, please and thanks!
The Kindle retails for US$259.
