Still using that clunky PDA circa 2002? Feeling the need to upgrade to a device that actually has a keyboard?
Bell, Palm and Canoe.ca have the solution for you! You could win a Palm Pre by leaving a comment below telling us why you need the WebOS-powered smartphone.
Check out our review of the Palm Pre from its launch – we liked it then and are still impressed with its capabilities months later.

Full rules & regulations.
I bought the Palm Pre the day it came out in August (along with a 3-year contract) and the touchscreen stopped working 2 months later. I went to a Bell boutique where I was told to call a toll-free #. Four days later I received the new Palm Pre and power cord and made the swap.
I think having a spare is the best idea and I sure hope I win!
My current cellphone is very old, with none of the new fangled capabilitiessd that everyone else seems to have. Plus, my two year old has taken a liking to it, and it’s been dropped, stepped out, and almost flushed down the toilet on numerous occassions. I need to win a Palm Pre so I can officially retire my old phone and give it a proper burial.
I have a BB Pearl and it’s getting old. I’ll be looking for a new phone soon and I think it’s only natural that I win the Palm Pre. It would reaffirm my natural laziness by relieving me of the chore of having to shop around.
I was just looking at this contest, and I thought I would enter.
Currently, I do not have any cell phone.
When I tell people that I don’t have any type of cell phone, or black berry or any other type of PDA they look at me like I have 2 heads. They wonder how I can carry on without one, especially in this day and age.
The truth is, I am not sure what the craze is, I guess I haven’t become so savy. I am a happily married 33 years old woman, I am in the Canadian Forces, I travel lots..but have never even considered getting a phone.
Could the Palm Pre be the one?
Never owned a cell phone, this one looks like one I would Like..
My husband and I share a Blackberry right now and he always has it. I would like to own my own and I think this would be one that I would like.
Work 2 jobs and they are both shift schedule. It’s difficult to track where and when I’m working at times. 7 years ago I owned a Palm pilot and it broke. I’m considering owning one of the Phone+PDA but I don’t don’t which one that would fit my need.
Thanks
I currently has an iphone without a contract on the Rogers network. I’m not pleased with Rogers so this would be the perfect phone to make the switch back to Bell.
I am passionate about art, disability, education, and technology. Most people wouldn’t look at me and say, “she’s a geek,” but I am ☺ Along with my penchant for gadgets, I am a self-taught computer “expert” and pride myself on being able to bring computers back to life for family and friends; at least long enough for recover vital information that was not backed up by the user… and… even though I was taking an Arts degree in University, I was almost voted president of the Computer Engineering Club, until someone realized I wasn’t an Engineer (heh heh).
So what does that have to do with this contest? It’s embarrassing – back in 2005 I eagerly awaited the Palm Treo …oooohhh sleek design …aaaghh word, excel, pdfs and more… oooohh email and calndar… aaaagh TOUCH SCREEN! I was in love. I was cool. It’s the best phone I’ve had – And it’s been faithful.
Trouble is now (in a hushed confessional tone) I’m am having impure thoughts and secretly wishing it would have a fatal fall, or serious disaster. I have been waiting for the Palm Pre since it was announced in the UK, but I cannot justify retiring a perfectly good phone just to upgrade. Yeah my google maps doesn’t work any more, and it’s a bit slow to open some applications, but it still works great. And I still love it. Winning a Palm Pre would absolve me of having to rationalize the old and the new, and bring me back up to an appropriate geek status (even though most people won’t know it, they’ll just think I’m cool!)
So I just leave a comment, and get a chance to win?
sweet.
I wish me a merry Christmas, I wish me a merry Christmas, I wish me a merry Christmas!!!!! Please give me the phone!
Merry Christmas everyone! And I hope I win
We have a winner!
Steve Jamieson of Prince Edward Island has won the Palm Pre – congratulations!
