Got (too much) paper?

- December 23rd, 2010

paperless

Computers were supposed to reduce paper consumption. Somehow I don’t think so, in fact I think maybe the opposite it true.  Paperless from Mariner Software can not only help rid some of the paper clutter, it can also help you manage it too.

It works with just about any Mac compatible scanner, but best if it’s TWAIN compliant.  Scan and store receipts then view them with Coverflow, just like you would your images and album covers. With it’s built in OCR (Optical Character Recognition) it can help categorize your receipts and create searchable databases. There is also an option to encrypt libraries for extra protection, to keep them from prying eyes in case your computer is lost or stolen.

Paperless 1.3 retails for $49.95 and is available as a boxed or download product.
