I agree on the questionable need for 3D on a phone. I wonder how much it adds to the phone's overhead - ie: weight & battery life - and of course, cost.

I don't have any health problems. I have only tried watching 3D TV twice in the last two years. The first time I watched it in Best Buy for all of five minutes, I quickly got a headache. A few weeks ago I tried again just to see if it was a fluke that I got a headache. At a different store I tried on the glasses and watched for about five minutes. Again, I had a headache in a matter of minutes. I love technology as much as the next "geek", but this is just hazardous. I'm sure there are many people out there that are silly enough to watch hours upon hours of 3D TV (or play hours of 3D video games). Staring at a small video screen whether it be a PS Vita, PSP, iPod Touch/iPhone, Nintendo DSi or Blackberry's for hours puts a lot of stress on one's eyes because the screens are so small. Anyone who disagrees with this are just (I guess I should say already) to blind to see the long term effects it has taken on them.

I'm very skeptical about the long term use of 3D simply because most things people watch don't really benefit from it. Now, granted, because of my own vision situation I don't get the "true" 3D effect from 3D movies or TVs, but even for those who do, will most of what you watch be enhanced by 3D? Most 3D movies I've seen use 3D effects mostly to say they did; the exceptions are definitely dramatic (I remember a 3D Imax film showing undersea exploration that was amazing) but not frequent enough for me to want to invest in that technology at home.

I don't think we're anywhere near a day where the majority of TV shows (news, sports events, sitcoms, dramas, etc.) will find it worth their while to use 3D, and until they do, I think 3D TV will be a niche market for folks setting up a really elaborate home theatre. That being the case, I don't think the health risks will end up being much of a concern, but it's good for people to be aware of what to watch out for.

John is right.... Go proofread your article and re-post it. Only then will people take it seriously. You're attempting to address a serious health concern, and can't put proper sentences together? How are we as readers supposed to give you any credibility?

John, there are many products that fill similar needs and new products arrive daily. This just happens to be another one of them and it happens to be geared to the iPad & iPhone Market.

@another Shelly
Yeah, AMAZING! Why is it amazing? You think that being available on Mac first is some sort of indication of the superiority of Macs?

Have you noticed, Shelly, that PCs are still running on Intel and AMD CPUs, and still running Windows and Linux, and that the Mighty Mac has abandoned the puny Motorola, and now use Intel? And why did they do that? Why, so that Macs could run MS Windows instead of the Apple OS!
