In my heart I know that I am a Hero… but sadly no one knows that this is the case. My voice is silent because the majority of the time I am cut off from the rest of the world, doomed because I do not own a smartphone. The HTC Hero would allow me to share my heroic feats, on twitter and facebook at all time, finally my great great heroism would be known. My fate is in your hands.
Sometimes you just need to catch a break and this would be a good break to catch. We are down to one income and can’t afford any new toys right now. So if I won this HTC phone I would give it to my wife who would like to be able to plan her day and tasks and appointments on the go… without relying on a paper trail. Her current phone does none of that. So it is more like a “we” would like this phone in that I would give it to her. And she doesn’t even know about it… yet.
I would enjoy winning this gift package. I have a cell phone (albeit an old one), but ave been looking to upgrade. I am extremely proud to be Canadian, am a retired member of our armed forces, (25 years and yes I said armed)and believe this country is the greatest country on the world with the most potential for success, yes greater than the US
My husband’s old Motorola is not working correctly and being seniors we are not sure we need two phones anymore – I would HAPPILY give my hubby my Motorola (both old phones) so I could enjoy the HTC, which till today I had never heard of and it sounds totally awesome. I could actually exchange emails with family and friends no matter where I was. Advertising does work because I want online an read more about this phone. In all seriousness, I just want to replace my three-year-old LG Chocolate, the world’s biggest POS phone (I’m with Telus, ironically). The damn thing’s sensor touch pad doesn’t even work in cold weather! That’s just unacceptable for life in Canada, don’t you think?
I have been waiting and waiting for a decent phone to come out with the android operating system. I’ve owned a HTC before, very, very pleased with it. i would love to have the opportunity to own one again.
I don’t have a cell phone because I don’t believe in them. Nothing can change my mind like a free phone, though I would feel this compromises my principles greatly…
I should win because my granddaughter just left finger marks all over my computer screen, so I need that cleaner. The phone wld be great also.
I figure My girlfriend has destroyed 2 other phones to date that I have given her, her dog ate one and the other she decided needed a good cleaning so it was thrown into the washing machine for a complete washing cycle and came out sparkling clean, but, not surprisingly, non-functional. Too be honest, I’ve actually got my eye on the other things in that basket. I bet that gum is delicious. If it means I’d have a chance to sample the gum then count me in. I’m ready for a smartphone and I’ve had my eye on the Hero for awhile now. Plus, I’m already a Telus subscriber and I’d be happy to take our relationship to the next level. So please keep me in mind….for the Hero but also if there is any extra gum lying around. Thanks!
I love the looks of this phone. My first phone was an HTC Touch, followed by the HTC Diamond. I enjoyed the versatility of both these phones operating windows mobile and I would really enjoy seeing how the Hero works with the android operating system.
I am a Taiwanese-Canadian, and this is why I should win:
1) I’ve never had a HTC phone, so it’d be cool to try it out.
2) I drop my phones all the time so the protective skins would help out.
3) I go to university so I can always use more notebooks and pens.
4) I am border-line Germaphobic so a screen cleaner will come in handy.
5) I try to be “green”, and an aluminum bottle is the way to go.
6) I like Peppermint Gum..way better than spearmint.

I should win this phone because, according to my wife, I am a bonehead. After washing my iPod Nano 3 times, the poor little thing has finally bit the dust. So what I plan on doing with the phone is giving it to her in exchange for her 2 year-old iPod Touch. I have a work phone, so she would use the phone and media storing features on the smart to replace her iPod. The good old bait and switch. Might be the first and only time I ever out”smart” my wife.

Why should I get the HTC Hero? Well wanting to have the latest and greatest toys in august of 2008 i lined up at a Bell store to get the Samsung Instinct which was supposed to be the “Iphone killer” Since then, i’ve had nothing but trouble with this phone. Getting into my email and browsing the sites i visit, mostly Canoe, i get random phone resets. If i miss a phone call, and someone leaves me a voicemail, my phone shows that the voicemail came in 6 hours before my missed phone call. I’m still with this phone and desperately need to get something new. this would help me out a lot.

I would really like to swap my current cell phone for the HTC Hero! My biggest reason for wanting to get this phone is due to the fact that with my job, I am on the road daily visiting schools and supporting classroom staff who work with students with Autism. The Hero would come in very handy rather than having to find a computer to log on to at a school, and I wouldn’t have to bring my camera everywhere I go and I would have instant access to email and the web if need be. I’m also hoping that one of its apps. is a calendar. That would really come in handy in my line of work!

I love to win this price. The new full-featured Android from HTC and Google is really making Buzz in the market. I think it is the device which can compete with IPhone and Blackberry. The HTC HERO SMART PHONE and complete package would make an excellent prize. My friend and I just returned from 3 months in China and the Philippines, he has an older HTC TOUCH which he was flaunting in my face every chance he could get about all the features and that he could use it anywhere he travelled. I had to buy a cheapy just to keep in contact with him while away and i couldn’t search or anything he could do on his HTC. If I win it will certainly be payback time, that is until he updates to an even newer model of HTC.

Im An HTC Phone fanatic, im on my 4th HTC windows mobile phone, the touch pro 2. Currently I am looking for a new phone for my girlfriend, She would definately enjoy this phone, as she likes my T.P.2, but dislikes windows mobile. I once blogged about the stupidity of smart phones. Why would anyone need to surf the ‘net on a 4 inch screen? What possible reason would someone have to watch a video on something that could fit in your pocket? Of course, I was talking about the iPhone. What I didn’t realize is that there would be a new generation of smartphones that would make the iPhone look like the overpriced, overhyped piece of garbage it is. I need this package to prove to myself that not all smartphones are like the iPhone. That not all smartphones lock you into doing things THEIR way, with THEIR approved applications. Yea verily, I need an HTC Hero.
Being visually impaired .. This phone having a large screen would greatly help in day to day tasks .. I have a Blackberry Pearl .. find it hard to view on screen .. Don’t use the Internet on it for that reason .. Was thinking of the BB Storm .. But really like the features of the Hero .. it’s my hero

As a university student running a business on the side, I have a lot on the go. An HTC Hero would be perfect for keeping everything organized and in sync. No more missed deadlines, better contact with clients, and a perfect way to connect with all of my social networks! Right now I carry an iPod in one pocket, and Cell phone in the other. The HTC Hero has more functionality than these two devices combined!

My wife and I had a son 9 months ago as of the 23rd of March, after 3 years of trying with medical help and going through courses and paperwork to get on an adoption list. She found out she was pregnant 3 days before we were to be put on the waiting list for adoption!
Being the caring father that I am I would use my current phone’s speakerphone to play lullabies and music for my baby boy to keep him happy. Then when he showed signs of teething I let him gnaw on the phone as well. Due to his lack of drool-control, the ear piece volume is now so low I can hardly hear anything when someone calls so need a replacement.
So, in the interest of allowing my baby boy to keep his first mp3 player (since the speakerphone is still fine), I would love to have the HTC Hero as my new phone! I’ll send pictures and promise to not let my son drool on the phone. But I will have to use the vibrant screen to entice him to start walking! Maybe I’ll let him hold it for a few minutes that time, with a close eye on the drooling

Well… the HTC Hero Prize pack includes a lot of great prizes including the new HTC Hero smart phone! My luck would be to win the package and the phone doesn’t work! Then the pen would explode in my shirt pocket, and the water bottle would leak all over my essay written in the notebook. The protective skins would be useful for something I guess, since I’m partially blinded by spraying the screen cleaner the wrong way into my eyes! So what could go wrong with enjoying the HTC Peppermint gum… ??? (stay tuned !!)
I am an undergrad student at the University of Western Ontario. I am in the middle of a 6-year program, which costs me roughly $18,000 per school year. In the summertime, I work whatever job I can and I’m lucky if I earn half of that. As such, I’m on every student loan program there is. Recently, my cell phone has finally broken (5 years old) and I can’t afford to buy a new one. Now when I call my parents (they can’t call me anymore), I use a payphone in the lobby of my residence and call collect.

Well, I would like this phone because my wife is just about due with our baby girl and she would love to be able to get ahold of me, you know, for things like the birth. She’d probably even call to get me to come change a few diapers! I’m sure you’ve seen this phenomenon. A group of friends are standing around and one person checks their phone. It’s usually a state-of-the-art phone that is doing something like, I don’t know, washing their dishes by remote control. Inevitably all your other friends pull out their phones to see how their dishes are doing… except one guy. That’s me. My phone has spontaneously shut itself off… or it’s failed to send “Hi” over IM for the 50th time… or sent my entire contact list a photo of the inside of my pocket… and therefore I am embarrassed to express my phone-love to the world. Help me love my phone and be my phone friend group Hero.
