Get intimate with a smartphone-controlled vibrator

So, ladies, have you ever thought to yourselves, the major problem with vibrators is that you have to turn them on and off manually? If only there was a way to control them remotely…

Well it seems one company is answering those concerns, by creating a vibrator that’s controlled by your smartphone, so you can keep your proverbial motor running in public.

As TechinAsia reports, Singapore-U.S. startup Vibrease has launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise $15,000 US to launch its vibrator. (A goal which, as I write this, it has already surpassed.)  An early version of the sex toy that resembled a rabbit was first exhibited at their Startup Asia Singapore event in early 2012.

Billed as the “world’s first wearable smart vibrator,”  and at only 3.1-inches long, the Vibease kind of looks like a small, pink banana with a hooked end.  It is made from 100% body-safe silicone and is designed for clitoral stimulation, the Indiegogo website states.

And you can theoretically wear the device all the time:

“We wanted to create something easy to use, allowing women to slip it inside the undergarment whenever they wanted…The tip is specially designed to make it easy for women to locate the sweet spot while ensuring the vibrator remains steadily in place.”

Though the company doesn’t recommend wearing the Vibease Smart Vibrator outdoors.

The Vibease Smart Vibrator will work with Android devices and the latest iPhones. It will utilize apps that sync the vibrator’s motion to audio cues to enhance the pleasure of the experience:

“When the voice in the fantasy app says: ‘I’m touching you softly’, the vibrator vibrates softly. And when the voice says: ‘I’m touching you hard’, the vibrator vibrates hard. The vibrator reacts to the story within the Fantasy. The vibrations are personalized to each Fantasy, and it gives vibrations with different intensities and various patterns at just the right moments. “

The device is designed to be entirely hands-free but apparently can be used as a standard vibrator if you’re phone isn’t handy.

Although the Vibease campaign has reached it fundraising goal, the campaign still goes on until Aug. 28 offering rewards, most of which are vibrators. For donations of $69 (get it?) you can choose either an iPhone- or Android-compatible vibrator as a reward.

This is the early bird special as is only available to the first 100 customers for each format. When those run out, the early adopter level is $79 for a vibrator, which isn’t bad considering the company’s suggested retail price is $99. And if you shell out $5,990, you will get 100 Vibease Smart Vibrators, a mixture of the iPhone and Android versions.

Probably best not to use them all at once…

In many places it is illegal to drive and talk/text on your phone due to the danger of distracted driving. Maybe they will have to update the law to include using your vibrator. I’m sure I would be distracted if they had the same thing for men!

    Whatever floats your boat.

And btw DickB, how would bosses make sure their employees weren’t err, ‘playing’ on the job instead of working? :-)
