A ‘quick’ way to accept credit cards

With Quickbooks 2010 via Intuit Merchant Services, you now have the ability to accept credit card and debit card payments directly,  enabling you to have cash in your account that much faster -  in typically 1-2 days.

You can’t deny that” Cash Flow is King”. So a service like this is a boon especially for small businesses. Processing transactions can be a time consuming process. Plus traditionally,  you’d have to enter the same info twice, once in the terminal and then again into your accounting system. And of course doing so increases the probably for errors in processing.

Offering quick and multiple payment options also makes it more convenient for your customers and put you in the same game as the big boys. It also allows you to reduce your administrative overhead whether you are doing it yourself or paying someone else to do it allowing you to focus getting more sales rather than chasing down bad cheques.

Naturally, there is an application process as well as terms and conditions, but it’s expected that you can be up and running within 4 days.

The service does require QuickBooks 2010 Release 5  (Pro, Premiere, or Easy Start for the PC). It also works with Quickbooks Enterprise Solutions.

A terminal/ pin pad is optional, but you will need it to process debit card payments.

As a little carrot, until the end of October, Intuit will cover the $75 set up fee and cover your first 2 month’s service charges.
