Were you ever about to do some repair jobs around the house and realized your hammer has gone missing from the toolbox?
Well, if you have your cellphone on you, you might be fine. Yes, you could use it to call in a handyman. Or, if it’s the OPPO Finder, as Phandroid reports, you can use it to hammer in the nails yourself.
In a video posted on YouTube, you can watch a man using all sides of the phone to hammer nails into a wooden board. Despite it ending up with a few scratches on the side and back, the man is then able to turn it off and navigate through the apps without any problems.
At 6.65 mm thick, the OPPO Finder currently holds the title as the world’s slimmest cellphone (though it may soon lose that title to the ZTE Athena). The dual-core 1.5 GHz phone runs on Ice Cream Sandwich, utilizes a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels, has 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. It also comes equipped with an 8 MP main camera capable 1080p HD video recording as well as 1.3 MP front-facing camera.
And it is available for pre-order in China for ¥2,498 ($397), so on paper it sounds like a good buy (import taxes notwithstanding) but it’s hard to know how well it would work without being able to test it.
At least you can use it to put up that spice rack your spouse has been nagging you about. (But get it right the first time, as I don’t think the OPPO Finder is as good as removing nails as it is as hammering them in.)
