The lineup scene at the Apple Store at Edmonton’s Southgate Centre early this morning certainly looked nothing like days gone by, but still, some die-hards camped overnight to be one of the first to get Apple’s first 7” wonder.

People lined up overnight for iPhone 4S
The magic of the iPhone continues, as people like Misha Hlebnicov, 17, are still willing to line up over night to be one of the first to get their hand on the new iPhone 4S. Despite the critics who were disappointed that the new model was not an iPhone 5, pre-orders of over 1 million units in the first 24 hours seemed to tell the tale and the long queue at the Apple Store at Southgate Mall in Edmonton are proof positive that the iPhone 4S is yet another winner.
CASA forces local Mac society name change
Edmonton – With the threat of legal action from the Coalition Against Substance Abuse (CASA), The Mac Owners and Users Society of Edmonton (MOUSE) is being coerced into a name change. The small, humble society never thought it would be a pawn in a political battle brought on by a disgruntled society member.

Cell phone waiting lot
Trying to pick someone up at the airport can be a daunting task at the best of times. At EIA Edmonton’s International Airport it’s almost impossible to find a spot in the covered parkade for a short-term stop unless you want to park on the roof. The metered parking is nearly always full and if you happen to grab a spot at the 10-minute max zone, Murphy’s Law says the incoming flight will likely be delayed.
