Being accustomed to using an iPad, I thought it would be an interesting exercise to leave the iPad at home and take along the iPad mini. I wanted to see if it would live up to my expectations and the claim by “Sir” Jonathan Ive, Apple’s senior vice president of Industrial Design, that the iPad Mini is a “concentration and not a reduction of the original”.
The lineup scene at the Apple Store at Edmonton’s Southgate Centre early this morning certainly looked nothing like days gone by, but still, some die-hards camped overnight to be one of the first to get Apple’s first 7” wonder.
Apple’s October event was more than spooktacular! It included the unveiling of a new iPad mini as well as a new MacBook Pro 13-inch with Retina display as the rumour mills had predicted and a whole lot more. Apple took the opportunity to offer some interesting upgrades to some of their software as well as unexpected update of the new iPad as well as a refresh to the iMac and Mac mini lines.
