Air New Zealand safety video features animation and celebrities

In an attempt to bring the airline in-flight safety booklet out from the seat pocket in front of you to the forefront of your mind, Air New Zealand is using technology along with star-appeal to make that happen. It’s all wrapped up in a new hand-sketched and animated video featuring celebrities and personalities to be rolled out on their national and international flights during the month of July.

I imagine, many of you, like me, don’t have the time to watch all the TV shows that you want when they’re on the air (assuming you get those channels in the first place).  Nor do you necessarily remember to set your PVR (if you have one) to record everything you’re going to miss.

Optik TV lets you tweet what you’re watching

If you’re a subscriber to Telus Optik TV (IPTV) and Optik Internet, you no longer have to reach for your smart phone, iOS device, computer or tablet to let your friends and followers know with a simple click, what you’re watching. The company has added a free Twitter app available to subscribers, so they can tweak to their hearts content right from their TV while still watching their program.

Canon celebrates EOS 25th anniversary with new 5D Mark III

It’s hard to believe that it’s been 25 years since Canon introduced its EOS model. Of course technology has changed so it’s certainly come along way with quite a few iterations since the original EOS 650, introduced to celebrate the company’s golden (50th) anniversary in March 1987. To commemorate this new milestone, Canon has announced their new EOS 5D Mark III.
