A Morning Of Presto Questions

- June 12th, 2012

Where to begin with asking staff about the status of the Presto smart card system?

Well, here’s a good start.

Here are some more questions councillors might consider during the transit commission and council meetings:

Why was the Presto contract apparently not lawyered?
How much revenue is the city losing during the test period?
Has OC Transpo figured out how much extra the delay will cost?
Is Transpo on the hook in any way for extra costs? (Because, the response I received earlier today suggests Transpo is “reviewing” those costs with Metrolinx)
Are the software repairs working?
Should there have been a longer test period planned?
How is the delay going to affect Transpo’s year-end finances?

Transit commission at 8:30 a.m. Council at 10 a.m.
