An update to the story we’ve been following on the $5-million pedestrian bridge over the Airport Pkwy. Construction had to stop and an assessment done because there was clearly something wrong with the cement.
The contractor, Bray Construction, was to have a report in the city’s hands today assessing the work. Apparently the city never received the report, but officials have learned the tower must be demolished and the whole project started over again.
The city has said in the past it’s insulated from added costs because of the muck-up. Looks like residents in this area will have to wait even longer for a safe passage to rapid transit.

residents will have to walk to hunt club road or mccarthy to get transit just as they do now
only the lazy and stupid try to cross the airport parkway to save a few minutes walk
forget the rapid in rapid transit anyway – it doesnt exist
cancel this stupid project and widen the airport parkway from hunt club to brookfield instead
what is more important
