More Etta

If the recent death of Etta James has got you interested in her music, there’s so much more to her discography than just At Last — which, if you ask me, Barack Obama ruined by using it as the theme for his inaugural. Now it’s in danger of becoming just another overplayed wedding song.

The prodigal Canuck returns

- January 31st, 2012

As reported in The Free Press, rocker Bryan Adams is set to do a cross-Canada tour, including a stop at the JLC on May 5.

There seems to be some surprise online that Adams hasn’t done a full-on Canadian tour with his band in 20 years, but wasn’t it about two decades ago that he moved to England?

It’s kind of hard to pop into the clubs in this country when your home base is across the pond, so logistically it makes sense that Adams hasn’t toured the Great White North since something like the early 1990s.

All the more reason for Forest City fans of the clean-cut rocker, who became a daddy for the first time just last year, to grab tickets for his rare Canadian appearances while they can!
