This one is for all the drivers out there.
When you let another car in your lane in front of you, how often do you get a wave from the other driver?
Is it just me, or is the wave disappearing? I’m noticing it less and less these days.

Yes, Dan. “The wave” (aka “common courtesy”) has most certainly gone the way of the dodo bird…and I don’t like it.
pinkypie: I guess the only way to bring it back is by using it, so people know there’s an expecation of courtesy? How else could we bring it back?
People don’t acknowledge common courtesy because in their mind they weren’t afforded the right of way by someone else who was giving up their spot, they’re thinking instead that traffic is flowing freely for them and it’s nice not to need to lay on the horn or nose forward across the pedestrian walkway and risk being sideswiped.
When I drive, my fellow drivers often show me their preferred middle-finger wave.
