If you don’t have any defragging to do, feel free to sound off about a possible provincial election. Do you want one this summer?

Can we combine your thoughts about ‘planned obsolescence’ with ‘Canadian/Ontario Government’?

Stephen Harper made a minority government work. Why can’t McGuinty?

Charlotte: Everyone always says a minority government can’t get anything done. This is why I prefer minority governments. I don’t want a government that can get things done. It’s when governments get things done that most of our problems arise. With any luck, the last five years or so will get Canadians over their unthinking fear of minority governments.

If we are so far in debt, why would we want to pay for an election that will very likely produce a compraable result to the one we have now?

My defrag for this week is about those brown recycle bags we’re forced to use. Last week, I put ours out to the curb for pickup. I should explain that I kept them in the garage in the hopes of avoiding the stuff rotting through the bottom of the bag in the rain. Apparently, I wasted my time because the damn things ripped right through onto the garage floor. So, I re-bagged all the weeds & crap, thus using twice as many overpriced bags to get it to the curb. The full week passed by and they weren’t picked up.
Early this week, when they finally were picked up, you guessed it; they rotted through again and the collectors just left the piles of crap on my driveway! I shovelled it up into a wheelbarrow and took it out my back gate and deposited it on the revene behind our home. Yup, I admit I did a no no but what alternative did I have? I could have (a) rebagged it and waited for the next colleciton; we all know how well THAT turned out :-(. (b) rebagged it and drove it to the compost area near the Hunt Club. Using fossil fuels to transport my yard waste sort of seemd counterproductive to the whole goal of this thing :-). (c) Composted it myself, on city land behind my home. I chose (c).
If you are going to force us to use those stupid bags, could you at least try to pick them up a bit sooner than evey 6-8 weeks? For me, anything with soil or roots attached is going down the hill. Leaves, I’ll still put out but the rest; I’ve given up!
I know; just pick up the damn bags right? :-)

If an election is what it takes for a chance to get rid of Deb Matthews, I look forward to it!

The government of the day appears unable to function…bring the election on

The base of Liberal support in 416 will be too preoccupied on the 400 driving to their cottages
