The footage tonight on the news with video of school bus “children” bullying the middle-aged female school bus monitor, reducing her to tears at one point…How dare they! And they will get away with it and will grow into adult bullies. Why? Because there are no consequences for their actions. We don’t have to beat them. We shouldn’t suspend them either. They should spend the summer at a juvenile detention facility mopping and scrubbing and cleaning the toilets of their “mentors”, then repeat their whole school year because they should all be expelled immediately. Oh…and no more busing for them either. Their dear parents who will balk like heck when they are expelled for doing such a “childish” thing will have to drive them as they are banned from ever riding a school bus again. That’s my Thursday defrag:-)!

…Regarding that story out of T.O. last week about the T.O. Board of Education having paid $3000.00 to have a wall plug installed and $165.00 to have a pencil sharpener attached to a wall – alas, I fear such revelations are nothing but the “tip of the tip” of the proverbial iceberg in terms of the real extent of such incredible rot and waste of tax dollars. Many more than just the usual suspects (politicians and civil servants) gorge at the bottomless public tax trough everyday. The problem is that those who are in a position to bring in true accountability regarding such ongoing waste are themselves gorging at the same trough everyday – indeed for the rest of their lives via their gold plated pensions. Human nature being what it is, such persons will never act to bring in true accountability and fiscal prudence. Calls to mind the old adage as to the foxes being in charge of the chicken coop.
