  1. Heh! That was quick Michael. CTS is getting closer and closer to my hope of same day uploading of your program. Now if only there was a way to download the episodes to avoid those pesky Hajinet blackouts I know I’ll have to deal with in KAF.

  2. Thanks for the wonderful interview, Michael. As I said on my blog, thank God for you and CTSTV for being a rare voice of reason in the pool of leftwing-flavored censorship against all things conservative that is this country’s media.

Wow I learned that apparently the Today Show is a really major talk show in the United States and that Bill O’Reilly is a big name down there.

  4. rupert delacroix says:

being asked by two people doesn`t mean a” lot …”

I watched about ten minutes before I was nearly sick to my stomach from the hyperbole and vitriol spewed forth by two homophobic religious nutbars.

Well done Mr. MC. Great interview. I missed the live show. Thanks for posting it. It certainly shows a different side of Ann than the hate crowd on the left and their media portray. That is the best interview I’ve seen showing who the woman is and what she stands for. Great work. I’ve sent the link around extensively. The comments from a couple of obviously challenged people that posted before me says it all about them. This is another beauty of free speech. The real narrow minded bigots expose themselves.

  6. ED says:

They really let both of those morons in the country?

  7. Norman says:

Thanks for posting your show. She has a terrific sense of humour.

Sitting back and watching y’all….not having cared to watch any interviews, it is interesting to note that there is always a missing ‘person’ in the debate. That is obviously, and maybe not so much after all, the ‘person’ who has perpetuated the conflict in the first place. Better to let the gods do battle than to always have their subjects take the brunt of their inter-godly-hatreds.

The religions are all monarchistic, so it isn’t any wonder there is conflict among those who believe their gods bring democracy. Debate should always begin with…’my god says….’ and we’d soon get to the heart of the matter.

On another note, it is interesting that we believe that if we pass laws, we get complete compliance somehow, magically. Take this mess as a wake-up call, and look to see what should happen next. Maybe flaunting our ‘laws’ like they will change our hearts, isn’t what it means to be a real community.

The tragedy may be that all those involved have never really been listened to. I mean ‘really’ listened to. Yeah, even your guest. I have heard it said that you can ‘listen one’s soul into existence.’ That might be what makes the difference.

Spent some time today reading the postings on Huffington Post regarding this subject. All I can say is “wow”. Some 4600 posts, almost all spewing hatred directed at someone who supposedly spews hatred.

  10. George,

Huff’ Post is the discredited ground zero of our southern neighbours for the leftist wanks to spew their attentionless vitriol. Their ain’t one Hotel who carries it in the lobby…well, none that cater to normal folk.

  11. Rory says:

If I recall correctly, Ann Coulter made the claim that the passing of the Health Care Reform Bill in the US would allow for tax subsidies for abortion. I do not believe that to be an accurate statement because I am quite sure that an agreement was reached prohibiting such a thing from taking place.

  12. Caramel says:

Fantastic interview Michael! Thank you for giving Ann the opportunity that is provided to others, as you do to those on this blog (even if they disagree) to express their views.

  13. Moe says:

Roly: I would bet Ann has her facts straight. This is what I found in a brief search: “President Barack Obama awkwardly kept a promise Wednesday he made to ensure passage of historic health care legislation, pledging the administration would not allow federal funds to pay for elective abortions covered by private insurance.”

That (without further research on my part) would imply that abortion will be paid for, if no private insurance is involved. Second, the promise was made apart from the legislation. Lastly, there is another bill still to come to “fix” the one signed this week.

  14. Moe says:

    Sorry, RORY.

These people hardly live up to the words they use to describe their tolerance. They are in fact the real haters. They don’t want to talk or listen. They want to conquer.

  16. heckubiss says:

Ann Coulter does nothing to encourage meaningful debate. When referring to Muslims she suggested they should ride a Camel. If you do not see how this can be offensive then you are simply playing games. Lets stop playing games and attempt to arrive at some truth.

Yes we all have the right to offend. That is not my argument. I am just saying that instead of jingoistic soundbites, perhaps a real dialogue between left and right, Muslim and Christian may be a better direction to go in???

Michael Coren keeps pointing out that there are those on the left who have said horrible things about Christians. But who are these people? they are nobodies, they don’t have same the notoriety that Coulter does.

I am not leftwing or rightwing. My politics is a blend of libertarianism, conservatism, and socialism. Every issue is different. My only goal is to arrive at some understanding of truth. If you are some type of nihilist that believes there is no truth then there is no point even engaging, you can just go on and say whatever you want.

For the past year or so Michael Coren has been raising the following types of questions: Why do the vast majority of terrorists happen to be Muslim? Why are Muslim countries the most intolerant to gays, non-Muslims etc? Why are Muslims the ones who engage in behavior such as throwing acid in the face of women?

If you believe that the reason is because there is something fundamentally evil about Islam then please say it. Then we can move on and figure out what to do next. But please stop all the innuendo and get to the point. Sure the Michael Coren show is entertaining but it would be nice to see another Canadian show further debate and attempt arrive at some sort of truth

  17. Dan says:

Interesting points hechubiss. I don’t know at what point libertarianism and socialism meet. And to say that Ann Coulter has brought nothing to the debate is interesting as well. Ann’s visit certainly has opened up a debate we need to have. How can you deny that? It’s happening right here. And it seems to me the left are the ones that won’t tolerate any debate. They wish to marginalize and silence opposing views. And our MSM does nothing to forward debate either. The CBC, Toronto Star, Globe & Mail etc. all fall squarely on the left. Look at the innuendo that comes out of the left and their MSM when discussing anything conservative or Christian. There are very few outlets for ideas that do not subscribe to politically correct socialist thinking available in Canada.

  18. Richie says:

In some cognitive science circles, the study of how our brains process language, etc. it has been shown that there may be a hard-wiring that tends to put some folks on the ‘right’ and some on the ‘left.’

Those on the ‘right’ prefer to live in a parent-dominant culture where values are decided for them and they comply.
Those on the ‘left’ prefer the parent-nurturant type of environment where they are allowed to ‘try out’ various modes of living and choose where they fit.
In a nation where we are told to be afraid of terrorists, we become filled with terror and want daddy to protect us so we swing ‘right’. Daddy uses a club on the bad guys…right now, if he can convince us to let him.
Those who are more nurturant think that ‘reason’ will win the day. They feel that in the long run, reason will win a true friend rather than a conquered, subjugated one. So it all depends on how afraid we are right now.

The unfortunate part of debate is that both sides are hard-wired to win, rather than unconceal new truth. Daddy is always right or he loses control.
Of course, the other side has its own defenses it uses to win.

Meanwhile there are some amazing new quantum physics insights into the whole ‘consciousness and spirituality’ domains that are demonstrating how much we are all inter-connected and really just ‘one.’
All this argument? We are truly just debating with ourselves! It’s all a joke!

  19. Kelly S says:

This show and this interview broke my heart. I cannot believe that people who claim to be Christian speak, think and conduct themselves with so much hypocrisy and judgment of others.
This woman consistently gets her facts wrong and speaks with hatred regarding other countries and races. How could anyone make the time to allow her a forum to do this? It’s all so sad. I really doubt that this kind of behavior is what Jesus’ teachings were all about. Come to think of it, I don’t recall Jesus being involved in politics at all. At least the bible I grew up with didn’t have him supporting a political ideal or candidate. Can anyone not see the irony in stating that it is the duty of a country to go into another country take over and force them to use democracy and follow a certain religion. That’s no different than, say, the Taliban taking over an area, forcing their politics down people’s throats and then forcing their religion on everyone. What’s the difference? And don’t say the religions. Just the idea of forcing a country to do as we say and think because God wants us to do this is crazy talk no matter what side says it.
It’s so sad that words that were meant to teach love, compassion and understanding are now used to spread hatred and judgment. Religious people are usually the most judgmental and this show proved that. How terribly sad.
