Aavaz is trying to get people to petition against Sun News Network’s application to the CRTC. When you go on their site to speak on behalf of Sun News, I believe your posting will be counted as support for the anti-Sun News side. Sun News gives us the truth. The mainstream media are in the pockets of the plutocrats who own them. Encourage your friends to support Sun News Network’s application to the CRTC.

Sun News is the only News channel that is not Politically correct in my opinion. Pull CBC’s funding and let all stations compete on an equal footing. CBC is as un-Canadian as you can. Example of this is they worry more about the terrorists than Canada’s sons and daughters fighting them.

Of course I am supporting Sun News. I cannot believe all the people on here complaining about some view other than the left wing slant of CBC and CTV. Like always, they have the right to “Not” watch, but they want everyone to not watch. That is UnCanadian! Finally there is another view point other than the MetroSexual, Univercity Prof., tree hugger view point. These are the people that are trying as hard as they can to stop anyone from having another side of things shown. These are the people with the biggoted closed minds. Why are they so affraid? Again, if you don’t like to watch Sun News, don’t but don’t stop me from watching if I want. If CNN can be a basic cable channel, there is absolutely no reasonable reason that a Canadian based, Canadian content broadcaster shouldn’t be given the exact same oppertunity. Unless you are closed minded and affraid of a 2 sided debate. Something that has been sorely missing in this country. Good luck Sun News. There are a lot of people very happy that you are around.

Was there anything more absurd than the lying idiots at CTV, CBC, and Global raving on about Chief Spence’s hunger strike?
Just how stupid do they think we are?

As for those bashing Sun, did Sun ever get a story as completely wrong as CBC and CTV et al did on the hunger strike fiasco?
If they will tell us an obviously fat woman is on day 40 of a hunger strike, what other whoppers are they telling us?

Thank God for SunTV, they were clearly the voice of reason and showed why we need them so desperately.

From the outright lies of Wafergate, to the absurd reports of 31,000 robocall complaints based on a bizarre far left website, to the All You Can Eat Hunger Strike, when has CBC and CTV ever told us the truth about anything?

I keep hearing about how SunTV lies, but when I call people on it and offer to name ten CBC lies for every lie they can find at SunTV, they always bow out.

CBC is all bent out of shape over the senator’s expenses, but when Liberal MP Judy Sgro ended up with an extra $100,000.00 from us in her condo rent scam, which she had to pay back, CBC did not run one single story on it.
Not one.

As for Ezra’s antics, I’d rather see him tell me the truth dressed up as a pirate than listen to Peter Mansbridge lie to me in a 3 piece suit.

Response to Derek: Re: “and they often pit community against community, Canadian against Canadian – something distinctly un-Canadian.” Wrong, wrong. People are not “un-Canadian” because they disagree with one another. I think Canadians are grown up enough to tolerate different points of view.

The problem with news before Sun was that it was totally one-dimensional and failed to recognize different perspectives. A healthy society is one in which a diversity of views are readily available and vigorously debated. Ezra’s manner may be an acquired taste, but his analysis is rigorous and refreshing. Don’t watch if you don’t like him. I never watch Rick Mercer because I dislike him, but I would not claim he should be off the air because I disagree with his perspective.

From some comments it’s obvious the SunNews haters will be out in full force urging the CRTC to reject SNN’s application so I believe it’s imperative that folks who appreciate “the other side of the story” write in to show their support for SNN. My letter goes in the mail today.

We live in a messed up world when people equate a cable bill with a tax. You don’t have to subscribe to cable TV people! It is a choice! The fact that many other channels are added to the basic subscription gives Sun the right to expect the same treatment. Even if you hate their views you should want them to have the right to express them. Wake up. It’s about freedom.
