Carney: There’s the legal aspect, and then there’s what it looks like
Lines that don’t guide
So the Bank of Canada’s general counsel says having Bank Governor Mark Carney’s spend a week at the summer home of federal Liberal finance critic Scott Brison while the Liberals were trying to recruit Carney as party leader “does not breach the bank’s conflict of interest guidelines in any way.”
Arguably that’s a comment on the guidelines not the visit.
