You mean porn like the fake oath ceremony on Sun news?
I do not want CBC/Radio-Canada spending my money on anything, thanks, Brigitte. (It was delightful to meet and speak with you recently.) The problem is this – the state broadcaster’s collective survival depends on a system which tolerates or even encourages parasitic infestations such as itself. Therefore its entire editorial direction is aimed at creating and sustaining its community of support and attacking its opposition. CBC management (if I may abuse a perfectly good word) no more needs to send each employee specific guidance than a queen ant needs to write out orders for individual insects. They all know their duties and they respond instantly and alike to changes in their environment. Their campaign is not against Harper or Conservatives or even conservatives. Why should it be? It is against real threats to their existence. Those threats are ideas. If you have followed me this far, please be patient for one more step. A campaign against ‘CBC buying porn’ does not threaten the collective. A real threat is a campaign against any taxpayer support for the CBC at all.
