Hot stuff

According to a Sierra Club Canada press release, Barack Obama’s global warming bowl of mush yesterday, in which he didn’t even take a clear stand on the Keystone XL pipeline proposal, “may turn out to be one of the most important speeches in American history”. Right. Forget “I Have a Dream” or the Farewell Address or the Gettysburg Address. Give a formulaic shout-out, take off your jacket again, mop your brow theatrically and drone on and your words “may turn out to be” studied, cited and cherished two centuries hence.

Or not.

Well, whatever. Either climate change is real or it isn’t. It’s a scientific issue, not a liberal-issue or a conservative-issue. And the fact is that something like 60% of Congresspeople think the world is about 6,000 years old. Such people don’t have the ability to adjudicate climate science. So if climate change is real…we’re screwed.

Sad to see how a scientific fact has become a battle ground between left and right

Yes, climate change is real, and has been in place since the day was formed, 6 billion or 6 thousand years ago.

The fact, that the left in general states that climate change is “man made” and ignores 6,000 to 6,000,000,000 years of history is the problem.

Mankind is not responsible for climate change but we sure are adding to it

The problem is when it became politicized by the likes of Gore, Suzuki, et al with agendas, and like the Koyoto protocol, used as a tool for wealth re-distribution

Perhaps we should be more worried about, or more emphasize the fact that the toxic waste’s we’re spewing into our air, water and land is the real issue, and what will kill life on earth, not climate change. Whether we’re causing climate change or not, life can survive climate changes, its a normal cycle for the earth to experience one way or another, (but Id be more worried about global cooling if that were the trend). As for the people saving the planet, we don’t have much control over that, the earth has been and will probably be here for a long time, we do control whether most life can survive here or not, we need clean air, water and land. Wake up people and smell the toxic waste.

Obama is playing to his base- the enviro hollywood stars who poured millions of dollars into his campaign.
Obama is doing what he knows best and that is OBAMA HIMSELF.
