Justin Trudeau, conditional Canadian

- February 14th, 2012

Justin Trudeau
The stuff you miss when you don’t listen to Quebec radio… Apparently Justin Trudeau told an interviewer this past weekend that if Canada became, you know, too much of a “Harper Canada” (by that he means anti-abortion, anti-gay marriage, 10 years back in time, the usual hidden-agenda stuff), he might consider helping Quebec become an independent country. (Story in French)

Let him go! What do we need him for?

  2. JamesHalifax says:

    Well….that proves it.

Justin got his father’s looks….and his mother’s brain.

  3. Clit Beastwood says:

This idiot is nothing more than a spoiled child. His behavior in the House, his posts on social networking sites and his far left oriented statements to the media completely support that statement. He obviously inherited more of his grey matter from his mother who has always had a somewhat questionable mental state.

It’s a sad statement as to the current condition of government in Canada that someone like this could even be allowed to run for office let alone hold a seat in the House.

  4. John says:

Typical of an elitist Quebecer and Liberals in general.
If they lose an election or don’t get their way, they want to quit or in the Dauphin’s case seperate.
    Always entitiled to their entitlements.

  5. denis p says:

Where oh where did he draw his conclusions about Harper from?

    Liberal fantasyland.

  6. Markon says:

I say let’s have another referendum on Quebec’s leaving Canada – except this time only the ROC gets to vote!

  7. Daniel says:

Most Canadians are with Trudeau on this. Happily, Harper will not get another term so it will remain hypothetical.

  8. Roy McEwen says:

Justin wants to help Quebec to become an independant country if certian things in his mind do not proceed as he invisions. My Goodness !! How lightly he views the value of Canadian citizenship. Is this the sort of person we want to place in charge with other Liberals to make Canada a better place ? The NDP under their late leader, was willing to sell Canada out to Quebec to gain power….more than willing to re-open separation etc.
The Canadian people have to thank their lucky stars that the Liberals and NDP parties are not currently in control of our wonderful country. Lets keep that way !!

  9. Bears paw says:

Hey, the fun is just beginning. We’ll have years of riotous laughter in the future when he eventually becomes the party leader

  10. Graham Alberta says:

He is my pick for dumbest person in Parliament. He has the over-the-shoulder-look-at-my-ass smile, the Paris Hilton personal appeal, the simpering yet smug smile, the absolute confidence in his every utterance that he is important, and the belief that people take him seriously.

Hmm – or most deluded maybe?

Dumbest, hands down. I’ll stick with that.

  11. Sherri says:

    What a refreshing viewpoint…..Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s still-hidden agenda.

And when Justin finds it, no doubt he’ll let the Ottawa press corp know.

A childlike man treating Canadians like children. If this is today’s Liberal Party, no wonder it has fallen completely out of favour.

  12. coco says:

    quebec cannot stand Harpers policies.

  13. Sean M says:

Trudeau’s kid is such a lightweight he almost doesn’t exist, although he is good for a laugh. It would be impossible to damage the fabric of the nation more then Papa Trudeau accomplished, but the days of the Quebec tribal shuffle dominating the lives of all Canadians are long over. I guess Trudeau Jr. is attempting to breathe new life into an old tribal game, but I seriously doubt Trudeau Jr.s ability to foster and nurture the separatist cause the way his Father did. The myth of a separatist Quebec was never more popular then when Trudeau Sr was fostering and nurturing the tribal cause, while he pretended to be Canada’s saviour. The problem for Trudeau Jr is that the Canada his Father manipulated into buying the tribal BS of separation is long gone. Canadians are long past the times when Quebec politicians blackmailed the ROC into believing we had to destroy and distort our country’s history and traditions to accommodate french speaking Quebecers, or else. Trudeau jr should stop trying to rekindle the tribal fires his Father used so well, it won’t work this time because the days of Quebec tribalism dominating the federal state are long over.

  14. bettie says:

What a drama queen! He said at one point, “the Canada that WE built”. No, Justin, you did not built Canada… it was my grandparents who homesteaded, opening up the land. THEY built Canada, and we are the inheriters of their values. And their values were NOT your values, 180 degree turn from your vacuous ‘values’.

  15. Eric Weiss says:

LMAO….Hurry, make this guy Liberal leader….LMAO

  16. Eddie Sweet says:

What do expect ? Pierre Elliott idiot was trust fund baby, who did not get a job until he was in his mid 40′s and then it was a job as an MP. Justin is no different, just another trust fund brat. Maybe he can led Quebec into an independent country. Just think of the money we would save every year.

  17. Patch says:

    Stephen Harper, conditional Canadian:

“This is just one more reason why Westerners, but Albertans in particular, need to think hard about their future in this country. After sober reflection, Albertans should decide that it it time to seek a new relationship with Canada…”

“Having hit a wall, the next logical step is not to bang our heads against it. It is to take the bricks and begin building another home — a stronger and more autonomous Alberta. It is time to look at Quebec and to learn. What Albertans should take from this example is to become “maitres chez nous.”

“Separation will become a real issue the day the federal government decides to make it one.”

“The rest of the country responded by telling us in no uncertain terms that we do not share their “Canadian values.” Fine. Let us build a society on Alberta values.”

  18. JamesHalifax says:

Pierre Trudeau must be doing the “horizontal pirouette” in his grave.

  19. Rob C says:

If Peter idiot’s stain can get quebec out of Canada I will donate to his campaign.
