Taxpayers received their bill – and guess what, their taxes are going up. Also?

MONTREAL — Montreal Mayor Gerald Tremblay was present at a meeting in which two other officials discussed illicit campaign financing, a former party organizer said Tuesday.

Martin Dumont told the province’s corruption inquiry that the mayor heard a Union Montreal financier admit to an under-the-table campaign budget for two byelections in December 2004.

I’m not at all surprised. I lived in Quebec most of my 61 years and corruption has been the trade mark of Quebec politics at every level of Government since my great uncle ran hotels in Quebec 80 years ago. Nothing has changed and I wonder if it’s not the same in Dalton’s Ontario.

I notice that this piece of news will not exceed in the news after yesterday.

I guess this is piece of news is not as severe as Oda’s $16 orange juice.
