Salo a game-time decision. We’re betting on him playing

- May 11th, 2010

Vancouver Canucks defenceman Sami Salo, who left Sunday’s Game 5 after being hit in the groin with a puck and sent to hospital that night, looks like he will play Tuesday night’s do-or-die game against Chicago.

Salo took part in the morning skate and was part of powerplay meetings.

“Game-time decision,” said head coach Alain Vigneault.

Salo didn’t exactly partake in the stretches, especially the ones targeting the groin muscles, and didn’t unload any of his rocket slap shots, but appears like he’s going to give his best effort.

If he can’t play, the Canucks are expected to dress Lawrence Nycholat.
