One last comment about this before we move on to something else. Although survey’s indicate the religious report being more charitable than their non religious comrades, a new study suggests that might not be the case.
The study showed in experiments that the non-religious were more motivated to give to strangers, while the more highly religious were the least likely.
I’m not at all sure how this jibes with the survey data or if they intersect at all. But it’s interesting reading.
