Winnipeg Jets head coach Claude Noel decided not to keep the reporters guessing and confirmed in the morning that his team would ice the same lineup against the New Jersey Devils as they had in a 1-0 victory over the Phoenix Coyotes.
That means they’ll be without forwards Eric Fehr (shoulder) and Nik Antropov (undisclosed) and defenceman Ron Hainsey (lower-body).
The Devils are coming off a 4-2 loss that saw Martin Brodeur pulled in the first period after giving up three goals on four shots.
Devils head coach Peter DeBoer confirmed this afternoon that former Manitoba Moose netminder Johan Hedberg will get the call in goal and that he’d be icing the same lineup he used against the Wild.
DeBoer also told reporters that Winnipegger Travis Zajac (Achilles) is making significant progress and should appear in a game before Christmas.
Puck drop is 6:05 p.m. at the MTS Centre (CBC, TSN 1290).
