Michelle Lovitt has gotta love it.
Her job, that is.
Lovitt, 42, is a Los Angeles-based personal trainer to the stars.
She has worked with such celebs as Jason Statham (my personal fave), Courteney Cox, Lauren Graham, Julianne Moore, David Duchovny, Gabriel Aubry, Sean (Puffy) Combs, Keifer Sutherland, Yvonne Strahovski, Amber Valletta, Julia Luis-Dreyfus, Eve Jeffers and David Arquette.
The down-to-earth Lovitt was more than accommodating when she granted yours truly a recent interview.
The following two Keeping Fit columns came from that candid interview:
• Cougar Town Trainer — May 14, 2012
• Keeping Fit with Jason Statham — April 2, 2012
Besides getting celebrities to work up a sweat, Lovitt also serves as the brand ambassador for Zobha, a popular line of high-end activewear.
All Keeping Fit blog readers who log onto www.zobha.com are eligible for a 20% discount off their Zobha purchase by entering “lovzobha” at checkout.
Now, you gotta love that!
Amber Valletta and Jason Statham sweat through a boxing workout during a break in filming Transporter 2. Lovitt trained the movie stars while they were shooting the sequel in Miami.

Kathryn Budig was featured in my Keeping Fit column on Dec. 4, 2011.
Here are some bonus tips from the Los Angeles-based yoga goddess:
• Follow your heart. “Find something that you really love to do. If you love being outdoors, commit to hikes, long walks, surfing, biking — whatever it is that cheers you up while breaking a sweat.”
• Yoga, of course, is another option. “Yoga is a fantastic mind-body experience that keeps the brain entertained, soothes stress and sculpts a fabulous figure.”
• But whatever you do, just keep it fresh. “Mix it up if you get bored and check out online resources. They’re growing by the day and they’re amazing! Yogaglo.com and GaiamTV are fantastic sites to get you started in the comfort of your own home. You can also check out my new DVD with Gaiam, Aim True Yoga, which has a beginner’s practice segment if you are looking to get into yoga.”

In case you missed it, here are the links to my national Keeping Fit columns that comprised a four-part series on the burgeoning sport/workout brand of CrossFit:
• Rich Froning Jr. — Monday, March 5, 2012
• Angie Pye — Monday, March 12, 2012
• Alicia Connors — Friday, March 30, 2012
• Graham Holmberg — Monday, April 9, 2012
And here are some photos I took while participating in a one-of-a-kind fitness stunt — highlighted by a CrossFit flash mob — earlier this year at Yonge and Dundas Square in Toronto as part of Reebok’s global CrossFit campaign …
What's in the red Reebok-CrossFit box (a 15,000-pound shipping container) suspended 30 feet above Yonge-Dundas Square?
All is relatively quiet at the popular downtown landmark just prior to the arrival of the flash mobsters.
One unsuspecting passerby stops for a smoke break on a large tire doubling for a piece of CrossFit workout equipment. Um, sir, that's not quite what event organizers have in mind!
