I had a ball working out with retired NHLers Scott Thornton and P.J. Stock, and retired CFLer George Savard, yesterday at Toronto’s Wychwood Barns as part of the launch of Reebok’s new Training collection.
But I’ve gotta admit I’m a tad sore today. Sigh.
I’ll be writing about my sweaty and breathless experience as soon as the swelling subsides.
In the meantime, here’s the official release from Reebok Canada:
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – February 1, 2013
Reebok Canada launches new Training collection
TORONTO – As part of the new global brand inspiration Live With Fire, leading fitness company Reebok Canada launched a new off ice hockey training campaign featuring NHL stars John Tavares, Matt Duchene and Maxime Talbot. The campaign introduces the Reebok Training collection, a premium men’s apparel line designed for all types of workouts. Available at Sport Chek and Sports Experts across Canada, the Reebok Training collection includes hoodies, T-shirts, pants and shorts and is complemented by the TrainFlex DC shoe.
Reebok, a leading brand in both the Canadian and global hockey landscape, has become synonymous with high-quality, technical equipment made for use on the ice. The company’s new training apparel and footwear collection brings this same level of quality and consideration to ensure maximum performance off the ice.
“Success on the ice starts with commitment and dedication off the ice. Our hockey training campaign captures the passion and dedication of three of Canada’s elite NHL players and showcases their commitment towards preparing for their season. Our Reebok training apparel and footwear collection is designed to help enhance every fitness experience – whether you’re an elite athlete or just starting out. The Reebok Training collection will help consumers become a fitter version of themselves,” explained Michael Rossi, VP at Reebok Canada.
The Reebok Training apparel collection will appeal to athletes, casual and professional alike, looking for superior performance and comfort during training. The men’s Reebok Fitness STRNGTH Full-Zip Hoody ($69.99) is a pique knit long sleeve, full zip hooded top with a two-way center front zip and ribbed hem and cuff. With the Reebok Fitness STRNGTH Knit Pant ($64.99), this ensemble was designed for any kind of training, providing both moisture wicking and ease of movement.
The apparel collection also includes the Reebok Fitness PWR Speedwick Short ($39.99), fabricated with a low-pressure waistband with internal draw cord and inner leg gusset allowing for ample movements.
With the Reebok RealFlexTrainFlex DC shoe ($119.99), Reebok developed a new design to create a shoe specifically made for athletes so they can reach higher training performance levels during their workout. The unique design features multi-directional flex nodes and a dual composite outsole to provide natural motion, forefoot flexibility and heel stability for unlimited comfort. The iconic pivot points also provide ease of change in direction. A removable PU sock liner and extraordinary cushioning are designed to accommodate orthotics as well as a 3D Ultralite material for lightweight natural foot strike. Reebok’s new Live With Fire brand motto incites consumers to connect with the brand in an authentic way and to live their lives with passion, intent and purpose.
