Whoa! Check out the guns on my newsroom cohort.
Edmonton Sun city columnist Andrew Hanon is packin’ some serious heat under those sleeves of his.
And with less than a month to go until Christmas, he’s in a generous mood – so he’s sharing his simple biceps-and-triceps regimen (at my request) with Keeping Fit blog readers.
Andrew tells me he does the following two-exercise workout three times a week:
• High pulley cable curls — 3×10 (three sets of 10 reps) — 80 lbs.
• Triceps pushdowns with a rope — 3×10 — 100 lbs.
Poundages vary, but that’s the only special attention Andrew pays to his pair of weapons of mass distraction. Just two isolation exercises.
Of course, he notes, his biceps also get a workout when he trains his back while his triceps are stimulated with compound chest and shoulder movements.
In the lead-up to this Sunday’s Grey Cup game at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Andrew tried out for the Edmonton Eskimos cheer team. (But methinks with those pipes, maybe he should try out for the Esks.) Click here to watch the cheer-team tryout.
He also became a Melonhead this week. Click here for that video.
