Gardiner, Frattin, Rosehill on Marlies’ clear-day roster

- March 6th, 2012

The Toronto Marlies announced on Tuesday their clear-day roster.
What it means is that only the 22 players listed on the roster are eligible to play in the rest of the American Hockey League season and the playoffs, unless emergency conditions arise as a result of recall, injury or suspension.
Teams can add signed junior players or players on amateur tryout contracts after clear day, but only when their junior or college seasons are done.
The Marlies’ clear-day roster:
Goalies: Ben Scrivens, Jussi Rynnas
Defencemen: Korbinian Holzer, Jake Gardiner, Mark Fraser, Juraj Mikas, Simon Gysbers, Jesse Blacker and Josh Engel
Forwards: Ryan Hamilton, Mike Zigomanis, Jerry D’Amigo, Greg Scott, Marcel Mueller, Nazem Kadri, Will Acton, Joe Colborne, Nicolas Deschamps, Philippe Dupuis, Carter Ashton, Jay Rosehill and Matt Frattin
Gardiner, Rosehill and Frattin are with the Leafs but will join the Marlies once the Leafs’ season is done.
The Marlies are in second place in the Western Conference with a record of 32-24-7 for 71 points.
