The other media outlets, the ones that won’t tell you about taxpayer funded porn, property rights being trampled or about cracks in the global warming consensus are having field day repeating the BS story about the fake citizenship ceremony.

That’s fine, we can take it and we give as good as we get when the press pack goes off the rails, which is often.

CBC doubles down on pornography

In what kind of alternate reality universe is it OK for a government agency to use tax dollars to pay for pornography?

Apparently in the CBC’s world.

In case you haven’t heard, CBC’s French division has been posting a pornographic television show on one of their websites free for all to see. Let me be clear about something: The one thing the Internet does not need more of is porn.

But some well-paid executive over at the state broadcaster not only disagreed and thought there needed to be more porn online, they used tax dollars, taken from your wallet, to pay for this.

There can be no justification for this but somehow CBC tried. On Wednesday afternoon, just before breaking the story on my Sun News Network program Byline, CBC e-mailed to defend their program. Read more…

Give ’em rope and let ’em meet their maker

Readers know how I feel about criminals. Hard time for hard crime. And I’ve got no time — or sympathy — for those who break the law.

When you break the law you face the consequences. It’s about personal responsibility and the responsibility of being a good citizen — two critical Canadian values I hold very dear.

The cons had their chance and blew it. But sadly, not everyone feels that way. Groups like the John Howard Society keep pushing prisoner rights day on the rest of us. Campaigning for a country club atmosphere of video games and yoga classes and a myriad of other prisoner perks. Forget the perks — the worst of the worst deserve a very different treatment.

They deserve western-style justice. Clifford Olson, and others of his ilk, not only gave up the right to prison pampering — they gave up their right to life as well. Read more…
