OTTAWA – The approval rating for refugee claims filed by Sri Lankan nationals has fallen dramatically over the past few months.
The latest figures, released to QMI Agency on Tuesday, show approvals falling from 81% in July to 75% in August. In September as members of the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB) began hearing cases related to the MV Sun Sea the approval rating fell to 47%.
