We tried it: Makeup looks for a Valentine’s Day date night (and girls’ night)

- February 13th, 2014

Rosalyn and I are expecting very different evenings on Valentine’s Day – girlfriend is engaged to sweetheart and I’m about to have my first love day as a singleton in many years. So we’ll need different looks.

We asked Melissa Ortins, makeup artist and national trainer for ACI Brands, to dream up a date night and girls’ night makeup look for us. Here’s out to get ‘em at home.

We tried it: Rose-scented products for anytime of the year

- February 3rd, 2014

Not sure if you can get away with long johns? There’s a site for that

- January 7th, 2014

Did confusion over underthings make you late for work this morning? Of course it did!

Canadians worried about freezing their antlers off can rest easy and check out Longjohnindex.ca – a fun site that ranks the bitterness of life wind chill by the criticalness of thermal undies.

The Index runs on a scale from 1 to 5; 1 being the lowest, and 5 being the highest. The Index corresponds to weather conditions, including air temperature as well as that Wind Chill, which was invented so people can brag about living through -68 degrees, even though it was really only -31 degrees. The Higher the number ( or rating if you will ) the more your very survival depends on wearing a pair of Long Johns.
