Bar Refaeli’s beauty regimen is as good as gold – literally.
The Israeli model posted a photo of herself on Instagram with what looks like a yellow-orange goo dripping down her face. The caption? “GOLD” followed by a few words in Hebrew, which Google Translate tells us is “The perfect therapy for Tally Gold.”
The facial is made up of 24-carat liquid, and is said to have the ingredients to prevent aging, inflammation and all the other nasty things that could make a supermodel essentially unemployed as time goes on.
Should the off-beat and expensive treatment – said to cost more than $1,000 at some European spas – surprise us? Nope.
Models and celebrities have reportedly tried everything from stem cell treatments to ‘Vampire Facelifts’ (which Bar has also tried, see below), so it seems there are no lengths or boundaries Hollywood will go to keep up appearances.
We can shudder, we can judge and yes, we can even look on with envy (who isn’t curious about what 24-carat gold feels like on the flesh?). We should also try to understand that for someone like Ms. Refaeli, her good looks and good health is a big part of what has made her successful, and also made her someone to scrutinize, like every other famous face.
We know models must have expensive beauty regimens… but this is taking it to a whole new level.
The photo is just another glimpse into how lofty a model’s life can be, and sure, she is already naturally beautiful, but would you put blood on your face?
…Have a glam squad by your side almost always? (This may actually be helpful on occasion)…
…Or, assign someone to massage your feet? (Maybe if someone offered….)
We guess it does take a team (and a little cash) to look this good.
