Limited Toronto Jimmy Choo bag sells out

- August 13th, 2014

When it comes to style, something unique and exclusive is always fashionable.

It’s why sneakerheads line up for new kicks, or fashionistas camp outside of stores for designer brand collaborations (H&M anyone?). So it’s no wonder that a limited edition Jimmy Choo bag designed for the brand’s Toronto store opening sold out in three days – even if it costs $1,095.

Jimmy Choo opened at Yorkdale Shopping Centre this month and to celebrate, the designer recreated the iconic Candy bag with the Toronto Transit (TTC) subway map.

While the yellow and green lines are all too familiar to T-Dot commuters, the subway names have been replaced with classic Jimmy Choo style names.

“Like the London tube map, I find the transport map of a city iconic and instantly recognizable worldwide. I wanted to play on this idea by taking over the station names with our signature styles signifying the arrival of Jimmy Choo in Canada with our first store opening in Toronto,” says Sandra Choi, creative director.

The black acrylic material and gold-colour chain make it perfect for a night out in the Big Smoke and only 20 were made – an exclusive accessory to bag if there ever was one.
