Video games taking over the World.

- July 29th, 2010

TV sucks and movies blow, theatre’s boring and music’s annoying. About the only leisure activity that’s gotten better is video games. The amount of brainpower in my Xbox 360 is mind-boggling. I can spend hours alone playing a game. The technology is really mesmerizing.
I’m currently playing Left 4 Dead 2. Never mind all the zombies, what’s really scary is how addictive the game is. Don’t play it! Seriously! You wont see your family and friends again. When I go downstairs saying that I’ll be up in a little while, my lady knows that means three hours. It’s like a narcotic. The only way to get over the rush of playing a game is by playing ANOTHER GAME!
Video games like this should come with a warning label.

PS: Is that why so many movies and TV shows are based on video games??

You said it. With so many programmed hours of gameplay, the social calendar is at a standstill until you can finish it. I’m actually considering NOT buying Halo: Reach when it hits store shelves because I’m afraid I won’t leave my basement for the next week or so after it comes out.

p.s. movies based on video games are usually terrible.
