Here we go

- April 19th, 2012

So, now we have a series.
Tied 2-2, going back to New York for Game 5 Saturday.
The Senators are assured they’ll be back here Monday night. The time has yet to be determined.
The Senators have been a surprise all season, it’s no surprise they’re a surprise in the playoffs. They got up off the mat Wednesday night when it was 2-0. They found a way. They found a way like they did all year. Key performances from key players.
But, there is a lot of work to be done. The big thing for me now is Jason Spezza to score a goal. He has been a point-a-game player in the playoffs until this year. The Senators need that back again.
You had to wonder if they could win without Daniel Alfredsson. They haven’t done it in the past. Now, they have to do it consistently. I’m not sure when he’s going to back but I don’t anticipate it will be soon.
The Senators aren’t out of the woods but they are alive and kicking.
That effort was promising in what’s been a promising season.

Was a great game yesterday. Ottawa won.. thats all that matters.

The team played well.. well after the first periord. I think at some points, we domintated the Rangers.

Turris is a star. He can be a top 6 forward in this leauge.

Spezza played a great game and showed guts coming back from that hit.

    Carkner has elevated his game.

    Loves the 3 goals from #9, #55 and #7…..

Can’t wait for Saturday… Torts can say what he wants, but there is more pressure on them then on us. There is pressure on the SENS,,, but going back to MSG is going to put more pressure on NYR.

I love how McLean coaches the game.. he is a shoe in for a the Jack Adams….. (yes.. a little bias).

Bring on game 5. Calling a 3 – 2 victory. Lets hope Alfie is back.

Btw – ha ha ha to all the naysayers on this blog ;-)

Great game last night. I thought O’Brien looked really good in particular. The game was so good, even Bobby wrote a few positives. The referreeing is really going downhill fast. Giving the Rangers a powerplay on that call with 5 minutes remaining in a tie game was just plain stupid. It showed the ref had no feel for the game and or could not think.

Ya Mike, the reffing has been God Awful.

I don’t normally get on the ref’s because things usually even out but the Sens won despite some pitiful calls and non-calls, that night the Rangers clearly had the advantage when it came to the reffing…no doubt the players on both sides have to be utterly confused as to what will be a penalty right now but that game specifically was horribly lopsided.
